After High School: One week after gradutation, six of your fellow West High classmates and I hit the road for San Francisco. We rode our 10-speed bikes up to the city by the bay. Unfortunately for me, I was hit by a man hauling a trailer, so my trip was cut short (60 miles from our destination). The following summer, I spent four months backpacking around Europe. After a series of odd jobs, I decided to attend college at NAU. Career: I taught elementary school in Arizona for one year after graduating from NAU. I then moved to Colorado, where I taught 5th grade and opened my own stained glass studio. After two years there, I moved back to Arizona and taught special education at Gilbert High School. I then took two years off to play "Mr. Mom" to my son, Tim. During that two years, I became a hot air balloon pilot for AT&T.
